After more than twenty-five years experience in film and television as an editor, writer, producer and director, Ken Vose made the transition to full time author in 1985. Vose, who lives in a small village in northeastern Pennsylvania, is a member of The Mystery Writers of America, The Author's Guild, The International Motor Press Association, The National Writers Union, and The Society of Automotive Historians.

Vose has recently worked on PAPA: The Man, The Myth, The Legend, a two act theatrical play about Ernest Hemingway, co-authored by Vose and Jordan Rhodes, premiered in May 2002 and is currently touring. For more information, please go to www.hemingwayonstage.com.

His television series scripts include episodes of Spies (A&E Network), The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (Cartoon Network), Peter Pan and the Pirates (Fox Network), as well as Thundercats, Silver Hawks, and the Comic Strip (Lorimar). Vose orginated and co-authored Greased Lightning, the story of famed black stock car driver Wendell Scott was published by Warner Books in conjunction with the film version, starring Richard Pryor. The success of this film led to Vose's work on a number of other motion pictures including Wonders of Life (EDKO Enterprises) and the one-hour television pilot Death Takes The Checker for the Alias Zachary Drake Series.

In addition to his novels and non-fiction books, Vose has written for International Auto Style & Sport, Millimeter, Super Car & Classics and Cigar Aficionado magazines, and hosted The Driver's Seat, a syndicated television show. In 2001, Ken was Guest Curator for the exhibition FANTASY AND FINS: The Artist and the Automobile at the Petersen Automotive Museum featuring the work of British-born Magic Realist painter Nicola Wood as well as other artists such as Claes Oldenburg, Benny Andrews, Frank Romero, Betsabee Romeo, and Dustin Schuler
